'84 4000s fuel pressure regulator

 does anyone know the process for adjustment of the electronic fuel pressure regulator on this vehicle? i replaced the regulator but do not know if adjustment clockwise increases pressure or decreases fuel pressure. it seems sensitive to adjustment and seems to affect fuel economy but i dont know the process for correct adjustment or whether i am increasing or decreasing pressure ... thanks
